The Best Toy Cars and Toy Car Maker of 2003

Here is your chance to make a statement about the best toy cars and toy car manufacturer of 2003. The following is a list of 28 manufacturers who offered new models in 2003. Members of the 1:64 Scale Diecast Community Forum were asked to nominate their favorite new 'regular line' and 'collector line' models for each manufacturer. Thank you to everyone who provided images missing from my collection. We defined 'regular line' as models produced primarily for children and 'collector line' models as those produced primarily for adults.

Please vote for one 'regular line' model and one 'collector line' model and one manufacturer. Ballots with more than three votes total will be considered void. Perhaps the best way to vote is to ask yourself if you could only have one regular and one collector line model, which would they be? For the manufacturer, who has contributed the most to the toy car hobby for 2003? This is intended to solicit a personal, subjective decision on your part. The winners will be announced in the January 2004 issue. In addition, manufacturers (many who already follow this Webzine) will be notified and presented with a suitable award, perhaps at the 2004 New York Toy Show. If we tell them what we like, we may continue to get just that. May the best toy cars win.
